Description: WAOTA is delighted to be able to sponsor Stacy Smallfield from the United States of America to come to Perth and present this course.

This one day introductory course is suitable for ALL disciplines of Occupational Therapists as well as students.

This introductory course will provide the occupational therapy professional with an understanding of the Person-Environment-Occupation-Performance (PEOP) Model. Participants will learn how the PEOP Model can guide the occupational therapy assessment and intervention process. Participants will gather a client-centered occupational history using a narrative method and assess the person, environment, and occupation using a variety of measures. Participation, performance and well-being outcome measures will be discussed.
By the end of the course, the learner will:
1. Understand the theoretical background underlying the PEOP Model.
2. Gather the client’s occupational history using a narrative method.
3. Understand and learn to measure the person, environment, and occupation components of the PEOP Model.
4. Measure the participation, performance, and well-being outcomes of the occupational therapy process.
